The Ethics and Religious Culture program begins with a study of Quebec’s religious heritage and ends with an introduction to other major religions of the world. The Ethics and Religious Culture courses are studied in Secondary 1, 2 and in Secondary 4 and 5.
Villa Maria’s student population is as diverse as that of Montreal. Girls from many cultural backgrounds and many religious denominations join to celebrate this diversity.
Villa students are encouraged to develop compassion and community-mindedness through discussion of issues dealing with social justice and by participating in a compulsory Community Service program as of Secondary 1.
Students in Secondary 1 to Secondary 5 are encouraged to volunteer in many areas such as Amnesty International and the annual Christmas basket collection.

Students play a variety of popular individual and team sports. The emphasis is placed on the "student's participation to the best of her ability."
We offer students an intramural sports program during the lunch period.
