Recognizing the importance of mathematics in post-secondary education and in many careers, we strive to build a strong foundation in mathematics. In fact, we go beyond by building confidence and encouraging a positive attitude towards mathematics in every student.

Villa Maria offers several course streams to accommodate varying interests and abilities in mathematics. Students who are motivated and consistently exceed course expectations may be invited to enrol in our enriched Mathematics classes which are offered in Secondary II, III, IV and V.
All of our courses and teaching methods emphasize the development of critical thinking skills and good work habits, as well as fostering student self-awareness and the development of strategies for independent learning.
