Sports

Villa Maria has an outstanding athletic tradition. Our teachers and coaches strive to provide students with ample opportunities to integrate physical activity into their daily lives and to develop good habits and tools to manage their health and well-being. Participation, teamwork and sportsmanship are emphasized throughout Villa Maria’s diverse sports programs.

Villa Elite teams have won gold medals, city championships, and even provincial championships. We are members of several sports associations, including the GMAA (Greater Montreal Athletic Association) and the RSEQ (Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec).

Our Sports Technician plans and supervises a comprehensive lunchtime and after-school intramural sports program. These intramural activities are for students from all grade levels, and allow them to enjoy sports in a less competitive atmosphere.
