Open House, Entrance Exams, Admission Procedure

Open House

We invite you to meet our students and teachers at our Open House on :

Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Visit our beautiful campus and experience the quality of our academic programs, the richness of our culture and the spirit of our students and staff.

Entrance Exams

  • Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 8:30 am (Secondary 1 only)
  • Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 1:30pm (Secondary 1 to 5)
The Entrance Examination consists of the following evaluations:
  • School Ability Test
  • English: Comprehension and Composition
  • French Composition (for Secondary 2-5 only; the Secondary 1 French placement test will be done at a later date once the student is accepted)
  • Mathematics Test

The exam is approximately 3 ½ hours long including a snack break and instructions.

Please note that the school provides all materials necessary including a snack.

1. Request for Admission

Please note that registration for the school year 2014-2015 will begin on Wednesday, August 21, 2013.

2. Admission File

Complete the online Application Form which will be available as of August 21, 2013.

Once the online application form has been transmitted, and before your daughter can write the entrance exam, the following documents must be received by mail or submitted in person.

  • Photocopies of the final report card for the two (2) previous school years (June 2012 & June 2013)
  • Birth certificate (both original and a photocopy) indicating the name of the student’s parents
  • Photocopy of the certificate of eligibility
  • $50 non-refundable application fee (no post-dated cheque will be accepted

*Please note that the original documents (birth certificate & certificate of eligibility) submitted in person will be returned to you immediately once they have been certified by a Villa Maria representative.

Original documents sent in the mail may be picked up at the Admissions Table at the Open House, or at the Entrance Exam session.

3. Confirmation

Once your online request has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail, along with a password in order to access your account to view the admission verdict once it is published.

4. Online Notification of Acceptance

Decisions concerning your daughter’s file will be posted online – date to be determined.

5. Letter of Confirmation

A letter notifying parents of the admission decision will also be mailed.

6. Formal Registration of Accepted Candidates

Once your daughter is accepted, you must complete and return the registration form and the educational services contract with a $200.00 non-refundable cheque payable to Villa Maria.

7. Additional Information

An information session for parents and guardians will take place while the exam is in session. It will be our pleasure to discuss the many aspects of life at Villa Maria and to answer any of your questions.
