All Science Challenge Winners

A team of Secondary 2 Villa Maria students, Lizzy Smythe, Laura Warren and Samantha Szabo, won the All Science Challenge held at McGill University on May 25th. According to Mrs. Pearce, the Villa Maria Science Department Head, “Their amazing results are a testament to both their teacher, Carla Goodine’s dedication and hard work in preparing the students, as well as the girls' intelligence and commitment.

In all, twelve Villa Maria students participated in the science enrichment team-based event that gives grade 6 to 8 students the opportunity to meet for a one-day highly-charged science competition.
